NEW BUSINESS:
1.
Uniform update—no news.
- Fund
raisers: lollipop money was
turned in, lanyards were received, will begin sales during preseason.
- Preseason
starts August 13
- Information
about the jump program was distributed, it is being offered to the girls
soccer team by HealthSouth sports medicine department as a training program
to reduce injury and increase
strength, improve jumping and cutting techniques. It is being offered for 6
weeks over the summer. It begins
on June 18 and for more information, or to register, please contact Matt
Gelbaugh at HealthSouth, 271 6721.
- Some
discussion was held regarding the upcoming season schedule and the number of
home vs away games and number of stadium games.
It was decided that Michael Carr would contact AD Kanaskie to
schedule a meeting to address some of these concerns.
Specifically to request as many stadium games as possible.
Stadium games provide added revenue, are historically better
attended, and allow for completion of JV games, due to the advantage of
lighting. We also have some
ideas to promote attendance by sponsoring youth nights, etc.
- Wednesday
night pick up games will commence on Wednesday June 13 at 6 pm
Coach Judy has arranged through Dave Dakota for you to use the Hess field
for pick-up matches and other summer soccer activities.
The field will also be
available for anyone else that wants to use it any Wednesday until
preseason...Our assigned time is 6-8pm every Wednesday.
ALSO...We hope to have "pick-up scrimmages" with
Millville
, Central, and perhaps one other team beginning the Wednesday immediately
following camp.
- Each
Family is requested to provide the boosters with either a case of drinks,
this would include bottled water, Gatorade, or brand name sodas such as Coke
or Pepsi product, or contribute $5.00—Barb Shoemaker (Andrea Dietz’s
mom) is coordinating this. If
possible, please bring these products to the next booster meeting.
- Rhonda
Brouse will distribute the concession stand work assignments during
preseason.
